Tour Diary: Mo's Diary - June to August

MO ON TOUR!!!
HIS THOUGHTS AND INNERMOST SECRETS SO FAR!!
(Note; the rest of the band had no influence on the following text)

Chocks away for some stupidly long flights. LA. Frankfurt for 23 hours in 27 degrees. Tee hee hee it's 6 degrees in NZ.

Dublin for a week of rehearsing and we drink a lot. Ft William, Scotland, to pick up the kit then Dunkeld, where we get eaten by midges. We get smashed in Mrs Tiggywinkles cottage and watch the world cup final. Pick up a tick which I discover on the way through England, and have to rip the tenacious little fucker out with my fingernails.

Two of us fly from Stanstead to Esburg, Denmark, only to find that the airport is the Danish equivalent of Hokitika. No money exchange, no money machine. We credit card our way to Copenhagen where we drink a lot.

Then there's a peripatetic ramble through the Dubliners of Scandinavia. Volvo's, Saabs, Nice buildings, Blondes, expensive beer, we drink a lot, no hills, small PA's, late nights, and very sensible people. The Swedes go off the best, and the Finnish are strange until they get drunk. Helsinki is nice and we drink a lot.

Then we go back to Stockholm where we drink a lot. It's light at 10pm when we go to play the gig. The sun comes up at 2am when we finish the gig. At least we're  getting tans and we drink a lot.

Then Gothenburg (hot), Copenhagen (hot), Zwolle (hot), and Rotterdam (really fucking hot). The Italian promoters 'detained' so we're on holiday in Rotterdam we're it's really hot and humid and we drink a lot.

The cafes are very civilised here, a big pouch of tobacco cost's NZ $7.50. Soon we're off to Belgium where we'll probably drink a lot. < back
