Tour Diary:
16th July - Helsinki
Hi folks,
Two weeks and 12 gigs down and so far no one has been
arrested or hospitalised ... well apart from Nicks brief visit to a
hospital in Helsinki last week for treatment to a pulled tendon in his leg
which forced him to do most of last weeks gigs sitting on a stool. He is
40 after all!!
Great series of gigs in Helsinki as always - good to see a
few familiar faces from the last trip. A lot of people are on holidays
over here and consequently there's no discernable difference between a
Monday and a Friday night crowd. Finnish crowds are a very attentive and
appreciative lot. Not as quick to get up on the tables as their Swedish
counterparts but once the request for U2 and Whiskey in the Yar et al.
have passed they appreciate the originality of the music.
CD sales also going well - about 35 so far which aint bad
for 2 weeks work. Other happenings - Italy has fallen through....rumour
has it the agent has been arrested for tax stuff...leaves with a 2 week
gap to fill which will prove tricky at this late stage. Also in the
process of finalising some work in Belgium later today.
Also had the good fortune to bump into Johnny Walker of
'Birmingham Six' fame.
A real gentleman ...nice to meet part of history.
That's the lot for now...till the next time < back
